Freakservers supports IRC access and includes i-line with every server!
Most serverhousing and co-location providers nowadays block IRC port 6667
in their firewalls, which means that their customers can't access IRC services.
Freakservers allows IRC access and gives you IRC i-lines for every
server!
Please read the following lines to understand this feature!
i-lines
By default, you will have i-lines on the following networks:
IRCnet (.at servers)
Undernet (graz.at.eu.undernet.org)
EFnet (irc.dkom.at)
Quakenet, Dalnet
Of course you are free to ask other IRC servers/networks/opers for i-lines.
IRC also works with IPv6.
How many clients you may load depends on the i-line and on the policies of the
IRC network you chose! You won't be able to run 100 bots, that's for sure.
private use
IRC access is meant for private use only. We do not allow shell providers on
these links. If you want to run a shell provider, contact us first and we'll
make you an offer.
ircnet i-line class
On our default IRCnet servers (.at), there are i-line classes in force.
With a normal Start server, you will be able to run 5 IPv4
connections and 5 IPv6 connections. If you order more IPs, more IRC
connections will be possible.
Of course you can ask IRC admins anywhere in the world to give you i-lines
with more IRC connections possible.
We don't know about the connection limits of other networks (EFnet,
Azzurra, Quakenet, ...). Please lookup / ask for the limits of the network
you want to use prior to ordering!
acceptible use
Please respect the policies of the networks you use. Don't flood, hack, spam
or annoy people.
If operators of a network put a k-line for your IP(s), we cannot help you. You
need to settle this with the ircops.
Also, don't participate in ircwar. Don't use flood or ddos tools, and don't be
the target of a ddos.
If you violate the rules, we reserve the right to remove your IRC access!
